Ben grew up on a small row crop and cow/calf operation in Northern Iowa. Throughout grade school and into college, Ben became very active in exhibiting and judging cattle in the show ring. He attended Fort Scott Community College and Texas Tech University where he received his degree in Animal Science with a focus on Beef Production. While in college, Ben furthered his experience by working for numerous cow/calf/stocker operations and participated on the livestock judging team. While his family still sells elite show heifers each year, Ben joined the Linz Heritage Angus team as the Herd Manager. His experience in cow/calf production along with his eye for quality has helped us continue to offer the best Angus cattle to customers around the world.
